Retraction of a research publication

On January 22, 2018, Kyoto University announced that the following paper published in Stem Cell Reports had fraudulent and fabricated data.

Publication
In Vitro Modeling of Blood-Brain Barrier with Human iPSC -Derived Endothelial Cells, Pericytes, Neurons, and Astrocytes via Notch Signaling. Stem Cell Reports. 2017 Mar 14; 8(3):634-647

The university found that the first and corresponding author of the paper, a specially-appointed assistant professor at CiRA, conducted the research misconduct.

As a result, the authors requested the journal to retract the paper.
On February 13, 2018, the paper was officially retracted.
