Stem Cells and Genome Engineering

Written by: on June 20, 2012 @ 10:00

Today we have the pleasure of hosting Dr. Frank Edenhofer, Group Leader of Stem Cell Engineering from the University of Bonn, Germany.
Dr. Edenhofer is famous for supplying the scientific world with TAT-Cre (Peitz et al., PNAS, 2002), a membrane permeable version of the invaluable Cre recombinase. Recently, his lab published a method for diverting partially reprogrammed cells to a neural stem cell fate (Their et al., Cell Stem Cell, 2012)

Dr. Edenhofer’s Seminar will be followed by Dr. Linzhao Cheng, Associate Director and Professor of the Institute for Stem Cell Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore.
