Research is underway to artificially create germ cells and embryos using human iPS cells.
To what extent should such research be allowed in society? If so, what kind of regulations are necessary?
We are the only humanities research division in CiRA to address these ethical issues, which cannot be solved by science alone. The research environment is close to the cutting-edge of science and regulatory affairs, and is supervised by several members with diverse academic backgrounds.
