Message from
the Akitsu Hotta Lab.

Our laboratory combines the latest genomic editing and iPS cell technologies to develop novel therapies against intractable diseases caused by genetic mutations, such as muscular dystrophies. Various perspectives and ideas are crucial to make this possible, so we recruit members with diverse educational backgrounds, such as medicine, engineering, and informatics, to have fruitful discussions at laboratory meetings.

For internship students, you are expected to participate and be part of ongoing projects in the lab. Lab members will teach and assist you with basic experimental techniques. In the past, some internship students successfully contributed as co-author by generating the research data that was used in the paper.

We welcome applications from motivated, talented, and team-oriented students who are interested in our research.
