Research Overview

Our lab is conducting theoretical cell analysis. Starting from the previously-developed data base of information on human cells, and taking advantage of cutting-edge techniques for high-speed data mining, gene network estimation, multivariate statistical analysis, and genomic analysis, we are working with the aim to achieve research which will be able to provide answers to such questions as “What is iPS cell?” or “How many types of cell exist?”

Our lab is a new system with a group to immediately conduct demonstration experiments to verify theories, which is still uncommon for an information-type lab but overcomes its weakness of proposing only desk plans.

We are also responsible to manage the Information Security Office (ISO), the intelligence infrastructure of CiRA, and will hopefully function as a core facility to contribute to creation of information environment which facilitates smooth progress of iPS cell study by updating and maintaining information network and equipment to share information.
