Do you accept requests for the vectors used to induce iPS cells?

Please refer to the "Material Distribution" page on our website. Research materials widely available from depositing/providing institutions will be posted on our page as needed.

Can I get the research materials listed in "Material Distribution" directly from Kyoto University?

From the viewpoint of Kyoto University's provision management, in principle, you obtain the materials from depositories/providing institutions listed on the "Material Distribution" page on our website.

If we were to enter into a contract with Kyoto University, how long would it take from agreement to signing and obtaining the cells?

It will take several weeks to complete the contract as it requires contract agreement, contract signing procedures, invoicing from Kyoto University after the contract is signed, payment of the consideration, and confirmation of payment. Also, if the stored cells are depleted, we will ask you to wait until the cells are ready. We appreciate your understanding.

If we receive cells directly from Kyoto University, is it possible to re-distribute them when the frozen cells do not recover?

If Kyoto University determines that there is clear evidence that the reason the frozen cells did not recover is due to the storage conditions at Kyoto University or the transportation of the cells from Kyoto University, we will consider re-distributing the cells. If we determine that there is a problem on the receiving end, we will not consider re-distribution for free at this time.

If we receive cells directly from Kyoto University, the cells went bad while in cell culture. Is it possible to re-distribute them?

If we determine that there is clear evidence that the cells went bad because of a problem on our part, we will consider re-distributing the cells, but if we determine that there is a problem on the receiving end, we will not consider re-distributing the cells for free at this time.

Are there any plans to provide human iPS cells derived from cells of disease patients to companies?
