Foreign residents now eligible for tax deductions

U.S. and Hong Kong residents are now eligible for tax deductions when donating to CiRA.

Kyoto, Japan ? The Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA), Kyoto University, Japan, has started a new fundraising scheme that qualifies residents in the U.S. and Hong Kong for tax deductions when donating to CiRA. The eligibility comes from an agreement formed between Kyoto University and Give2Asia, a U.S. nonprofit organization.

To make a tax deductible gift to CiRA, visit the fund page online at www.give2asia.org/ku-ips or make your check payable to Give2Asia and indicate your intention to support the iPS Cell Research Fund in a cover letter or the memo section. Give2Asia also accepts wire transfers, gifts of securities and other assets. For more information, please contact CiRA or Give2Asia directly at its U.S. headquarters (?1)415.967.6300; info@give2asia.org; Give2Asia, 340 Pine Street, Suite 501, San Francisco, CA94104, U.S.A.

*By law, Give2Asia is required to retain discretion and control over the use of donations to accomplish its charitable programs, which includes the iPS Cell Research Fund. This means that CiRA must remain charitable in purpose and demonstrate its charitable use of funds in order to receive grants from Give2Asia.
