CiRA to give a series of lectures and practical training courses on iPS cell generation

To support researchers working on iPS cell studies, CiRA will be giving lectures and three-day practical training courses on the generation and culturing of iPS cells. The lectures and the practical training courses are conducted in Japanese, but one lecture and one practical training course will be conducted in English.

The schedule and the content may change. Details including how to apply for the programs will be announced later on this website.

Lectures
The 1st lecture Time & Date 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2010
Subject Generation, maintenance, and culturing of human iPS cells, and evaluation of iPS cells
(Applications will be accepted from mid-July. The lecture will be given in English.)
The 2nd lecture Time & Date Late January, 2011 (The lecture will be conducted in Japanese. Precise time and date is to be announced later.)
Three-day practical training courses
The 1st practical training Time & Date From Monday, June 28, 2010 through Wednesday, June 30, 2010
Subject Generation, maintenance, and culturing of human iPS cells
(Applications will be accepted from mid-May. Instructions will be given in Japanese.)
The 2nd practical training Time & Date From Monday afternoon, August 30, 2010, through Wednesday, September 1, 2010
Subject Generation, maintenance, and culturing of human iPS cells.

The 3rd practical training Time & Date Late November, 2010 (Instructions will be given in Japanese)
