Introduction

私達のグループは京都大学iPS細胞研究所(CiRA)の高性能シーケンサー(次世代シーケンサー)解析のコアファシリティとして、ゲノムやエピゲノムの解析を行い、真の臨床応用が可能なiPS細胞を評価することを目的としております。
また、体細胞が多能性幹細胞に変換する過程は、エピゲノム状態のリセットが重要であと言われてきました。細胞の分化状態を支配するエピゲノム制御機構の解明も試みております。
そして、癌、特に脳腫瘍の発生のメカニズムをiPS細胞作成技術を用いて解明します。

Welcome to Core Facility of Genome and Epigenome Analysis at CiRA, KyotoUniversity. Pluripotent stem cells such as embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) have generated enormous interest in regenerative medicine. Not only for the clinical applications, pluripotent cells have been also utilized to a cell model for understanding the molecular mechanisms of maintenance of cellular identity. Dissection of epigenetic regulation during reprogramming process maydescribe how cells sustain their cell fate, and provide candidate molecules acting as guardians of differentiation. A current high-performance sequencing technology makes us possible to not onlygenome sequencing but also single-base resolution methylome analysis by whole genome bisulfite sequencing (WGBS) at once. We aim to catalog epigenetic land scape od iPS cells, and identify epigenome marks, which define cell identity.
