Several new appointments were made at CiRA beginning April 1. Professor Hirohide Saito was appointed Deputy Director of the institute and Professor Jun Takahashi Head of the Department of Clinical Application. Professor Tatsutoshi Nakhata held both posts until March 31. He was appointed Head of the Drug Discovery Technology Development Office, which was set up at the Department of the Fundamental Cell Technology. Finally, former Head of the Kyoto University General Affairs Department, Fusao Koyama, was appointed Assistant Director at CiRA.
