"Creating a Healthier You with iPS Cells and Next-Gen Medicine" Science Cafe at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan

The Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA), Kyoto University, in collaboration with the Institute for Regenerative Medicine (IREM) at the University of Zurich, Wyss Zurich※), and the CiRA Foundation, will host the "Creating a Healthier You with iPS Cells and Next-Gen Medicine" Science Cafe on June 21(Sat.) and June 22 (Sun.) at the Swiss Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

Cutting-edge biomedical technologies such as iPS cells and tissue engineering are transforming the future of healthcare. At this Science Cafe, researchers from Switzerland and Japan will present their latest research findings on new strategies to treat diseases and injuries affecting different organs, including the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), heart, blood, and immune system, in an easy-to-understand format. This event is a rare opportunity to learn about the wide range of biomedical research conducted in Switzerland and Japan.

Research aimed at building a healthier future is advancing rapidly. Don't miss this chance to hear from experts at the forefront of next-generation biomedical technologies and their efforts to help us live healthier lives.

At the exhibition area, you can observe iPS cells and check out educational displays, such as "iPS Cell Karuta" (a Japanese-style card game) and "iPS Master" (an iPad app guiding users through experiments resulting in the groundbreaking discovery of iPS cells).

We look forward to seeing you there!
